Country Roads Angel Network Making Headlines Across West Virginia

5/6/2026

The Country Roads Angel Network (CRAN) is gaining statewide attention following a series of major announcements that continue to strengthen West Virginia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Over the past few weeks, CRAN has been featured across multiple media outlets highlighting two key milestones: the launch of the Country Roads Angel Foundation and new investments supporting West Virginia startups.

Expanding Support Through the Country Roads Angel Foundation

Recent coverage from West Virginia Public Broadcasting and MetroNews spotlighted the launch of the Country Roads Angel Foundation, an initiative designed to build a stronger pipeline of entrepreneurs across the state.

The Foundation will focus on providing educational resources and early-stage support for students and aspiring entrepreneurs, helping develop the skills needed to start and grow successful businesses.

This effort represents the next phase of CRAN’s mission: not only investing in businesses, but also investing in people, ensuring that future founders across West Virginia have the tools, mentorship, and confidence to succeed.

Continued Investment in West Virginia Startups

In addition to launching the Foundation, CRAN also announced $195,000 in new startup investments, as covered by WDTV and other outlets.

These investments support three West Virginia-based ventures and build on CRAN’s broader impact  – nearly $2 million invested across approximately 20 startups since its founding, helping leverage tens of millions more in additional funding.

Together, these efforts highlight CRAN’s growing role in fueling innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening communities across the Mountain State.
